Frequently asked cookies…er, questions.
What does a health coach do, exactly?
A health coach helps guide you to make changes towards a healthier lifestyle. Think of it as strategy and accountability to create positive momentum in your habits, health, and mind-set. From food and movement to sleep, stress, and everything in between, I’ll look at the whole picture and help you make changes that actually stick.
Will you make me eat a certain way?
Nope. There’s no one right diet for every human, believe me, I think I’ve tried them all! We’ll take a look at what you are eating and what your goals are and come up with a plan you can live with, and even come to love!
Can you help me lose weight?
You’ll likely find that improving certain areas of your health creates a cascading effect that naturally leads to weight loss. However, if this is your primary concern and if you have significant weight to lose, I would recommend reaching out to a doctor or dietitian before coming to see me. Having a health coach in conjunction with a doctor’s weight-loss plan improves success exponentially by encouraging accountability and maintaining motivation!
Side note: Do you actually NEED to lose weight? I encourage body positivity and it’s ok to be curvy as long as your health markers are good!
I think I might have____ (diabetes, IBS, eczema, depression, etc), can you help me fix it?
I’m not a doctor and I can’t diagnose any conditions. There are strategies that are universally helpful across many conditions but it’s always best to see your doctor if you suspect something is wrong.
Can I afford health coaching?
Yes! If you can afford a massage, you can afford coaching. Stand-alone sessions are $70 for 50-minutes. Plus, health coaching has the potential to change your life for the better, permanently! Pretty good investment, right?
I loved my sessions! Can you also help my husband?
I primarily work with women over 40-ish but I’m happy to help anyone who is ready and willing to commit to change!
Why would you put “Cookie” in the name of a health and wellness business?
Great question! There’s a few reasons.
I really love cookies, like, REALLY love them.
No food is off limits as long as you’re smart about it.
It’s quirky and a little silly, kind of like me.
“Cookie” is my mom’s nickname for me. Cute, right?
Best of all, you’re a smart cookie for taking control of your health!
What’s your favorite cookie?
Oatmeal chocolate chip, with a hint of cinnamon baked in.
